The Kirkcaldy Sports Centre is a new £15.3million community leisure facility in Kirkcaldy, Fife, located on the waterfront overlooking the Firth of Forth.
CGL worked with architect Cre8architecture to provide our aluminium Traypanel system for the project, which is a fully drained and ventilated façade and forms the external aesthetic element of a multi-layer wall. This has added to the energetic and dynamic design of the building, which is intended to be a catalyst for future development in the area.
The panels are supported by the CS1 extruded aluminium grid which provides variety of zone widths and excellent adjustability. This system also allows air flow at the bottom and the top of the elevation, ensuring air movement in the cavity between the panel and the inner wall.
