CS1 Wallplank System

This large-scale project comprised of approximately 700 square metres of vertical cladding, along with associated flashings and copings. The architect specified two colours; the majority of the building was clad in light green panels with a darker anthracite grey feature band around the windows. The products used were 1mm pigmento green VM zinc and 3mm aluminium PPC in a matt finish, which perfectly captured the design intent and created the striking finish of this building.

The building was unique in its shape, and in order to support the extensive curvature, we used a secret fix system in order to provide the finish that the architect was looking for. Designing the cladding for a building with this level of detail meant that extra attention had to be paid to ensure that all the interfaces worked well with the windows, steel works and other elements of the building to provide the smooth, seamless finish that the design required.
