CGL Shingles

As an alternative to the larger cladding styles we can provide, the Mary Rose Visitors Centre in the historic Navy Dockyard in Portsmouth was finished with Natural Copper CGL Shingles. The thin strips of unfinished metal (0.7mm in this case) can be used to economically cover large areas and they are left to develop their own patina; leading to a durable and increasingly distinctive exterior. The copper compliments the dark hardwood façade and glass to give a very striking look to the building.

The building now houses the historic King Henry VIII’s Mary Rose Warship which was raised from the Solent in 1982.
